So now that the studio sessions for our album are complete and I've finished my master's degree program, life has been a lot quieter and much more relaxed. Two things I can't get enough of at this point:
Maybe I do miss the simplicity of the singer-songwriter approach, but I can't thank my lucky stars enough that I'm finally doing what I love doing with a real band. Making a career out of your music can be one of the loneliest experiences ... like ever. Having some guys to suffer together with makes the future look far less harrowing.
In any case, check out those abovementioned links. I got to see Priscilla Ahn perform at the Tin Angel here in Philly over the weekend; wonderful show. And I only recently got introduced to
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and it's pretty funny so far. It's another of those "omigawd why is this guy such a jackass" type of program (a la The Office? Family Guy?). I hope that isn't telling of some aspect of my character. Fingers crossed.
