Storytellers Chapter 5 | Trains

_____Trains____

The sound is distant for now.
From what I can see, it's clear.
But we don't have much time
Draw the blinds and hide your clocks.

Twelve becomes one too quickly.
These tracks are not
bare for long.

If we cover our ears and pretend we don't hear them, then maybe we can make it through the night.

The panic makes us nervous.
The room is shaking, it never stops.
And in the midst of all this, we forgot to fall in love.

We'll sit away the silence.
And use these seconds as best we can.

If we cover our ears and pretend we don't hear them, then maybe we can make it through the night.

Let's stop waiting for the next train to pass.
I know it's not that easy.

If we cover our ears and pretend
we don't hear them,
then maybe we can make it through the night.
So let's cover our ears and pretend we don't hear them,
then maybe we can make it through the night.

hey - i like the bridge. what's cool about this song is that it acknowledges that unsettledness that people have to face... and maybe it's better that there's no real solution. it's kind of comforting to just talk about it and know you're not alone!
this is the first time i've heard this one.

i remember thinking and being able to visualize a train chugging along from the instrumental intro. thought it was so appropriate.
