dang.. i always liked the songs about death that kind of had some hope in it like Home by Daughtry and well done by passion. this one's really good too. really like the verse with "you're home now" can't wait for the album. :) oh and no trivia this week? :[ i was so pumped to win hahahha
It's been a while since I checked out your vlogs but I caught up on all of them now. I hope you're happy, Joe. You can't say I don't look at your site! Look- I'm even commenting!
But on a more serious note, good job guys. I immediately liked your work because I'm friends with Joe, but I've continued to listen and follow up on you guys because you're just that good. The lyrics to this song in particular are absolutely poetic and beautiful; it expresses sentiments that are oftentimes so inexpressible. Same thing goes for the rest of your songs; the lyrics are.. smart. Keep going!
And now that I've put up a serious comment, tell Joe he needs to buy me Chipotle. bye!
on the part where the chord changes from minor to major (i'm guessing? i don't know how to describe it but i think you'll get my point) as the lyrics contrast from "your finest moment" to "my darkest hour," ahh, that is sooo good. the effect it creates, it just kills me.
Why did you delete my comment?! J/K. Great sounds, guys. It was a joy reconnecting and rocking with you guys on Friday (although clearly the rocking was more your doing). We should do it again soon!
i wish i had something eloquent to say to thank you for sharing this song. these were such profoundly comforting words.. yet the melody still captured the inexpressible sadness of the lack of a loved one's presence.

by far one of my favorite songs ever. joe..you're a genius. i look forward to meeting you.
___Your Finest Moment___
Winter seasons are over now...
You grew your colors today.
It was your finest moment,
It was my darkest hour.
The winds whisper through your veins,
Dismissing you peacefully...
You were destined for beautiful things.
Oh how you've grown!
Oh how you've grown!
So rest now,
You're home now,
And this world won't haunt you now.
And you'll see
Everything is safe now...
i really like the lyrics
another great one. and yes, oreo mcflurries are the best.
