Here are the lyrics for those of you who want to follow along :)

Twenty Twenty

Turn on the light
Wake the night
Watch the monsters come alive
Blink away your disarray
Of the sudden glare that hits the eyes
Open wide to the distant sights
Of crooked shapes and their crooked lines
That come undone
As you adjust and separate the wrong from right

We’ve arrived
In a place we’ve never seen before

At last the sun has come out
To guide our wayward steps
On paths once lit by cameras and candlelight.

Don’t turn the page
Take in the scene as the red begins to bleed
Loneliness that still persists
The shades and colors we’ve never seen.
Hold your breath
And take my hand.
Leave your castles in the sand
Cause you were mine a thousand times
Before you chose to run the night

We’ve arrived
In a place we’ve never seen before

At last the sun has come out
To guide our wayward steps
On paths once lit by cameras and candlelight.

Cause the fairytale is over
Illusions are no more
As we seek to find the answer
To what we’re living for

At last the sun has come out
To guide our wayward steps
On paths once lit by cameras and candlelight.

oh.. i thought it was 'the Son' that guides our wayward steps :T nice arrangement. bang that CD out! i want to hear it. and i think a lot of students struggle with that... being pushed and pulled by their parents for that "dream" job. but i dunno... it seems like this generation of folk don't really care too much about riches. maybe im just speaking for myself.

awesome job brothers!
jase, i remember eddo told me that you wrote this song after that summer in CR, and now that i'm able to see where you're coming from, the song is that much more powerful and makes more sense.. i remember the talk we had while we were on the van during outreach, and i'm sure you remember it as well..
with all my heart i hope that God will lead you in that direction, fully remembering that sometimes He gives us enough strength and courage to open doors, but that it's ultimately upto us to turn the knob and walk through the door with steps of faith..
i'm really looking forward to another summer in CR with you, in the hopes that God will put even more things in focus and burden our hearts with what matters most.. (Matt. 6:33; Luke 10:2)

your music inspires me, miss vintage.. keep up the great work!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE LYRICS! <3 they helped meee =)

I'm not sure if this how you want the listener to feel when they hear this song, but for me...
it's like so realistic..the whole idea of realization and the whole idea of "at last"...it's not always a bright and cheery one, especially when you're coming from somewhere so dark~
the words seem uplifting at the chorus, but the way jason sings it...i love how it reflects off the verse.
For me, i can totally picture the first verse...this image of being kept in complete darkness and when the sun finally hits your eyes, it actually kind of hurts. You can't completely open your eyes yet and they need time to adjust...a bit unsettling, but at the same time you can't help but "blink it away" in order to see what's in the light...

EEK!!!!!!!!!!! i love it. A lot.

i probably could talk about this song for like 2 hours HAHAHA just one on line alone...just because i freaking love the language and how much imagery it evokes in my tiny little brain.

Brian, drummer right?! =) i hope your shoulder is okay! I always ask Grace about your shoulderrrr~ even though you probably dont remember me! HAHAHA but that's what fans are for =)

YAYEEEEEEEEE...i really love these blogs.

Lord Bless,
Ellen
