PS- I think it would be helpful...if you guys COULD...put the lyrics up, at least the chorus...just so that people could follow along as you sing, because i can't really distinguish the words that well =( sowee i have bad ears...and i just wish i could dig a little deeper into the song. =)

not sure if these are the lyrics, but giving it a try...can someone from the band confirm these:

Chorus:
doors are opening
we know it'd be a shame to stay inside
life goes on and then we'll die and
then we'll live forever
say our goodbyes

such powerful lyrics. thank you for inspiring me to write some of my own music...your music touches my soul.

I like starfish. Yo, this storytellers thing is awesome.

I run over to the site right when I get that email that the newest V-blog is up. It's like the feeling I get when I find out the organic oatmeal at Costco's on sale.

these last 2 episodes of storytellers were so uplifting and inspirational.

goodbye LA is definitely one of my favorite songs and it was the first time hearing the acoustic version, which i love.

jason and joe, you guys were meant to make music together.

yay for becoming more comfortable in front of the (web)cam--or perhaps today was just a great Mother's Day...

either way, i'm liking the format of the vblogs and i especially enjoyed this acoustic version of goodbye LA.

and ditto to chrisko's organic oatmeal on sale at Costco comment.

here's an idea: next song to be about aquariums...goes along with The Roadie (not just the fact that the roadie is fascinated by them)...the world we only know is the confined space we live in. something to ponder on. yo, where's my shoutout?

"you said you'd wait for me..."
i wonder if you guys know yet ... just how precious that is, how rare a kept promise.
of course i love it from the stage, but this song was meant to be sung in basements and bedrooms (with lemon pie, perhaps)... and maybe even over the phone.

Wow. Now, if anything is inspiring, it's the stories that you leave here for us to read.

I envy your vulnerability and your bravery. Thanks to everyone for sharing how what little we've done has given you impetus to go and follow your heart. Best of luck to all of you guys.

You say you wrote this song in 2002... trying to figure out a post-college future. Thats funny because you graduated college in 2006. And mama had her stroke in 2004. Confused much, brother dear? Interesting vblogs though.

i just found you guys...through angryasianman's blog. i'm going through a similar situation, not so much my family wanting me to come back, but leaving LA for the east. and with a year that included much learning, growth, acceptance, maturity, and future uncertainty. But with the deepset peace and knowledge that it will all come together.

awesome job guys...keep it up! will try and see you in NY.
